Lens Remover

Applying Eye Drops Prior to Insertion and Removal is a MUST!

It helps to practice pinching the soft contact lens off of a fingertip to get the feel for it before trying on the eye.

We suggest placing the soft lens on your index finger of your non dominant hand &

practicing the pinch off of your finger to get a feel for actual removal.

If you pinch the soft contact lens off of a finger a few times you

will be able to visualize what it takes to pinch effectively.

Using OptiWand® For SOFT Contact Lens Removal

Step 1: Applying Eye Drops Prior to Insertion and Removal is a MUST!

Use a DRY OptiWand® on the Full OR Split Cup End for Soft Contact Lens removal.

Step 2: Using your non-dominant hand spread your eye lids as wide

as possible, keeping your eyelashes out of the way.

Step 3: Focusing through the CENTER HOLE, move the OptiWand® Full or Split Cup END

Step 4: Once you feel the OptiWand® touch the soft contact lens you should

TWIST twist it slightly then carefully pinch the soft contact lens with the

FAQ’s for why the OptiWand® won’t work

for SOFT Contact Lens Removal

Q: I am trying to suction out my soft lens and it won’t grab the soft lens, why?

A: IT IS NOT A SUCTION CUP FOR SOFT LENS REMOVAL.

SOFT contact lenses are not a solid material and therefore CANNOT be suctioned out.

You will have the highest success by using the OptiWand®

on the flexible FULL CUP side to place in between the fingers and the soft lens

You must be able to get your fingers close enough to pinch the lens off the cornea

and break the bond allowing it to release.
